Fertility is an artful process. As a painter, I explore social issues of fertility throughout its process, both pre and post-conception. Whether a couple is planning to have a child or if a child is conceived without a plan, the social environment around fertility provides a limitless context to create.

Currently, my paintings portray the innocence and beauty that is inherent within a child. Ultimately, my images will inspire a need and desire to provide the most positive environment possible to bring forth a child into the world as responsible, loving parents.

I have a desire to have children, but this is not the right time in my life. Therefore, I began to document my feelings unto canvases to celebrate my yearning. It is a celebration of a life, as I document the different aspects of babies and portray its innocence as if to nurture the child, with each brush stroke I make.

Starting from photographs, I work in a modular fashion. Each module functions as an individual painting, but when joined together forms a larger whole. I nurture my canvases and the visceral quality of paint brings life to my work like bringing life to a child.
